Pilot Study – Preservation of Swiss Video Games
Memoriav, in collaboration with Pixelvetica and the HEK, invites you to the workshop to learn about the challenges of saving Swiss video games.
After the very successful first online workshop on June 7, 2021 and before the publication of the final report on the pilot study in 2022, Memoriav and Pixelvetica invite you to a second and final workshop to inform about the challenges in saving Swiss video games.
The workshop will take place on Monday, October 25, 2021 from 10am to 3pm at HEK. The event is divided into two parts: In the morning, there will be a panel discussion on the results of the survey Pixelvetica conducted this summer among Swiss memory institutions. It will give a first insight into the video game collections in Switzerland and the competences available for their preservation. This will be followed by practical workshops on specific case studies in the afternoon.
We are very pleased to be able to offer this second workshop on site (valid Covid certificate mandatory.It will be also offered an online broadcast of the panel discussion. This hybrid mode will allow everyone to follow the further development of this important pilot project.
