Medienkultur A-Z: Livestreaming and Virtual Communities
From ultra-capitalised e-sports to niche intimate virtual communities - let's explore the possibilities of livestreaming with regards to community building with Swiss streamer, Suni (@SenshiSuni), gaming-expert, Nathan Leuenberger (e-sports.ch) and Twitch researcher, Samuel Coavoux (EPFL).
As part of the Radical Gaming exhibition we would like to encourage you to join us for the October edition of Medienkultur A-Z to enter and explore the world of livestreaming. We will start with a Twitch livestreaming 101 guided by Swiss streamer, Suni (@senshisuni). Following this, Suni, Nathan Leuenberger and Samuel Coavoux will explore the possibilities of livestreaming for building, growing and nurturing virtual communities!
Media Culture A-Z: Social Media Activism is the third event in the new series Media Culture A-Z. A monthly series of events that takes a closer look at phenomena from current events in media culture in a low-threshold atmosphere. Experts and artists provide information and handouts on a wide variety of digital culture topics, and participants gain concrete insights and can exchange experiences. The event series sees itself as an antidote to the individualization of online practice, where everything is always one's own personal problem: we do it together. Media Culture A-Z is aimed at a broad public, from young people, adults and seniors, who are interested in current social issues and would like to deepen their background knowledge of digital practices.
Please note that for this event we must follow the 3G protection concept as put in place by the BAG, entry is only possible with a valid QR code and identification. If you have any questions, please contact us at email@example.com or +41 (0)61 331 58 40. We will be happy to help you.
