We aren’t just single individuals walking the planet: we are walking ecosystems made of microbes. Microbes are in the soil, in the water and even in our bodies. We live and co-exist with them. Speakers Corners is a project that aims to incentive the symbiotic relationship that raises from the beneficial presence of microbes and bacteria in the human body.

Coded Bodies is a series of workshops designed to learn basics of arduino coding, soft wearables and the exploration of biological textiles. During the workshop, students will be introduced to the world of wearable technology, sustainable fashion and speculative design. The students Masterstuio Design from HGK FHNW will exhibit their final working prototype with visual and tactile documentation from the one week workshop with Giulia Tomasello.

Giulia Tomasello (*1990) is an interaction designer specialising in women's healthcare. She combines biotechnology, interactive clothing and innovation. She is the winner of the Re-FREAM project 2019 and the STARTS award 2018 for artistic exploration.
