BitFabrik at Yami-Ichi

Shaping the digital world! Today, the kids and teenagers are putting their self-programmed drawings, patterns and mandala-like pictures up for sale at our internet-fleemarket Yami-Ichi.

education/workshop

21.09.2019, 18:00-20:00

In the programming club, which takes place once a month on Saturdays, children and young people between the ages of nine and fourteen explore the world of digital technology and turn their own ideas into projects.

Today, the kids and teenagers are putting their self-programmed drawings, patterns and mandala-like pictures up for sale at our internet-fleemarket Yami-Ichi. In the workshop room visitors can let the programmed images be personalised by the kids and then have them printed out with the drawing plotter.

Yami-Ichi is a fleemarket, where internet-like things are traded and sold. At this special market one can find funny and unnecessary materialisations of the digital age, like self-printed spam-postcards, grumpy cats made of salt-dough, real-life instagram filters or a paste-bin print station.

In BitFabrik participants look behind the scenes of algorithms, learn to understand and influence codes, discover the creative potential of new technologies and practise a reflective approach to media content.

The workshops take place in German, however, French and English speaking participants are welcome.

The programming club takes place one Saturday afternoon per month.

Upcoming dates: 26.10., 16.11. und 14.12.

Admission: vermittlung@hek.ch
