πTon/2

πTon/2 is a sound installation that consists of a long rubber tube, driven by a motor, which resembles a mechanical snake. While the structure and materials of the organic-seeming form twine, push and bump against the walls that surround them, sounds are created, which are then amplified electronically. When the work is shown as part of a performance, another interaction level between human performers and the device emerges.

The artistic duo Cod.Act is made up of the Swiss artists André and Michel Décosterd, whose works explore the possibilities of combining sound experiments with visual research.
