Aline Veillat

Aline Veillat (*1967), Réunion Island, France, lives and works in Basel.

Born on the island of Réunion, artist Aline Veillat grew up in Rabat, Morocco. After studying digital media in Lausanne and aesthetics as well as science and technology in the arts in Paris, she is now working as an independent researcher for the CCC Seminar at the Geneva University of Art and Design (HEAD). Her artistic work is grounded in her interest in our relationship to nature and our perception of space. Hence she invites visitors, for example, to become aware of the contents of our environment and how that influences our perceptions. She is interested in our interactions with today’s world, choosing an anthropological and social approach.
