Build your own VR glasses from cardboard

Virtual reality for 3D glasses

Explore virtual realities: after an exhibition tour, professionals will introduce attendees to the phenomenon, and current applications and systems can be tried out.

05.02.2017, 14:00-17:00

Age: From age 12

Admission: 30 CHF adults / 20 CHF red.

The workshop starts with a short tour of the exhibition "The Unframed World", where artists use VR applications as an artistic medium. Simon Paff and Joël Gähwiler, both lecturers in Interaction Design at the Zurich University of the Arts ZHdK, are looking at the phenomenon of virtual reality more closely with the participants of the workshop: what is it and where does it come from? Pfaff and Gähwiler show various current applications. The participants can try out various spectacles and systems on the spot, and fold their own cardboard glasses and try it with their smartphone.

Price includes one pair of HeK-cardboard glasses (reduced price without the glasses). Please bring smartphones!
