This is already the third time that HeK, in cooperation with the Kunstbulletin, presents the prize for net-based art: "net based". The CHF 10'000 prize is awarded by an international jury consisting of Josephine Bosma, Christophe Guignard, Valérie Perrin, Raffael Hörig and Sabine Himmelsbach. The prize aims to draw attention to the Internet as a platform for artistic activities and to make innovative, net-based projects inspired by the Internet accessible to a wider audience. From over 150 entries, the jury will select a shortlist of 10 works. The audience can also participate and propose a work for the Audience Award. The award ceremony will be followed by the Internet Yami-Ichi, an Internet flea market realised for the second time in Switzerland at HeK and will be accompanied by an exciting supporting programme.
„net based – prize for net based art“ is made possible by Symphasis and the Else von Sick Foundation.
